Molly and Purdey
Apsley Molly

Molly is currently learning her trade and is already a useful member of the pack on shoot days.

Apsley Jessie MH
"Jessie"

Jessie has her Master Hunter, enjoys working on pheasant release shoots with the pack, but is my constant companion when hunting wild quail, pheasant, and duck and geese.

Finkley Saturn
"Kyta"

Unlike the other dogs with which I live, I was chosen in September 2000 by my mistress and not by my master when I was a tiny puppy. Apparently she wanted a companion to live in the cottage with her as opposed to a working dog that lived outside in the kennels.  (more on Kyta...)

Countryways Lucy SH
"Purdey"

If you have heard the joke about the Englishman, Irishman, Welshman, and Scotsman then you’ll understand when you look at my pedigree why I enjoy life so much. I have been blessed by having some of the finest breeding in my profession and I am desperately trying to live up to the reputation of these fine dogs.   (more on Purdey...)

Rappahanock Rascal SH
"Toby"

I was born on the 2nd May 1999 in the old game keepers’ cottage on the Apsley estate in Hampshire in the southwest of England. I never met my father, but by all accounts he was a handsome yellow Field Trial champion by the name of Follyoakwood Boris. There were ten of us in the litter and we all thrived due to the constant care of our mother, Ginny (Abbotsleigh Fairfac) and our mistress Lesley.  (More on Toby...)

I overheard somebody remark to my master the other day that I didn’t look a day over 6 years old, which was truly a compliment as I am actually 9.

I was born on the 10th April 1995 in Sussex in England to a famous Scottish father and an English mother.  (
